Ante- natal care (ANC) is the mainstay of obstetric care. The pregnant lady is monitored monthly (in later pregnancy, once in 2-3 weeks) to check if the fetus (in- uterine baby) is growing well. Co‐ordinated and supportive care is offered for various conditions that affect the women’s lives.
